The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application procedure.
Applications are actually open and will shut on fifteen December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should meet the subsequent requirements:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who comes from a home by using a combined gross home earnings that doesn't exceed R350 000 per annum.
• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined home profits will not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and need not submit any proof of income.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent people from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.
Applicants nsfas status are reminded to supply the right Identification Doc numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored of their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are studying or plan to research in a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
